Alberta Ferretti RTW Spring 2018

Alberta Ferretti RTW Spring 2018

Change is good, right? Alberta Ferretti embraced that old chestnut for spring, taming her ethereal signatures into minimalist silhouettes clearly inspired by the Nineties. Laverne Cox Stars in Beyoncé's Ivy Park Campaign

Just days after her 36th birthday, Beyoncé is giving us a gift. After teasing a new mysterious collaboration between the singer and fellow icon Laverne Cox on Twitter last week, today it was revealed that the Orange Is the New Black star is one of the faces of Beyoncé's Ivy Park AW17 campaign.

What did we do to deserve such excellence? The 45-year-old actress and activist slays as usual in a corseted sweatshirt, a dramatically cropped top and a matching athleisure set.

Cox, like the rest of us, is a huge Bey fan. She celebrated the star's birthday with a sultry homemade video homage shot from a hot tub and celebrated her own birthday by having a blast at the Formation world tour.

She told PeopleStyle that the opportunity to work with Beyonce on the AW17 campaign was "like a dream."

“To be honest, it doesn’t feel real,” she's quoted as saying. “It feels like some weird fantasy that I’ve had since Destiny’s Child. It feels amazing that I get to be a part of this brand that has already inspired me and be working with a woman who has especially been a huge inspiration to me and so many folks around the world.”

According to a statement from the brand, the campaign champions “the beauty and strength found in our uniqueness" and "tapping into your inner hero." Ivy Park's Instagram also showcases other faces of the campaign including choreographer Karen McDonald and models Grace Bol and Souffrant Ralph.
