THREE GRACES NIGHTWEAR LAUNCHES SWIMWEAR
WITH every brand vying for the trophy item of the summer, we're hedging our bets that Three Graces London's new swimwear line is going to come home a winner. Already a favourite with fashion editors and influencers thanks to its desirable nightwear and beach loungewear, the label - which was founded by Catherine Johnson only last year - has responded to customer demand for something to complement its effortless summer layers and created its first swimwear collection, which launched this weekend.
"The swimwear line was a natural progression from beachwear and has essentially been driven by demand from buyers and customers," Johnson told us. "When we launched loungewear for resort 2017, we had many enquiries, initially from buyers and subsequently customers, asking us what to wear under our beach and loungewear dresses."
The result is six swim looks - a mixture of bikinis and swimsuits - cut from "Italian swim fabrics with premium knit technology which creates a high level of comfort", Johnson explained. "With the perfect balance of lightness and coverage, fabrics have a two-way stretch thanks to the Lycra yarn." But it's the colourways - that sun-drenched, sunflower yellow in particular - that has caught the attention of your favourite Instagram stars. Priced at £210 to £230 for a swimsuit and £170 to £220 for a bikini set however, Johnson is clear that the colour needs to be as attractive as the comfort her new category offers.
"The fit and quality of the garments is the most important aspect in swimwear. No matter how great the design is if a swimsuit doesn't fit correctly it will be returned," she told us, adding that "compelling and chic" design was something she focused a lot of her time on while developing the line, as well as making sure that they "layer seamlessly over our beachwear garments making it easy for our customers to plan their beachwear looks".
