Swimsuit brand Summersalt just launched a line of cozy outerwear
The cult-favorite sustainable swimwear brand Summersalt just unveiled a major surprise: It’s just launched a holiday collection of super-cozy, eco-friendly outerwear.
While we might not have been expecting puffer jackets and other coats from a brand known for bathing suits (even one that is, admittedly, pretty innovative), the results are really stylish — and just as great-fitting as the rest of the line.
The collection of two coats includes one modern style that boasts a great oversized collar and sporty stylings, as well as a more classic (but still cozy) quilted jacket with a longer, bottom-of-the-hip fit. Both are available in women’s sizes from small to 2X.
The coats are partly made from polyester derived from recycled plastic bottles, and they’re built to be wind-resistant and quick-drying for comfort on winter days. Read on for more details about both styles.
With four contrasting colorways, including a stylish pink-and-red colorblock and a blue two-tone version, this eco-puffer jacket is all architectural lines and a stylish wrap-front fit topped by an oversize collar for a little added drama. The shell is made from 100% recycled polyester (see ya, plastic bottles), and it’s machine washable too.
For a little polish, this quilted jacket has a great ogee pattern stitched into it and a contrasting two-tone colorway with one color on the outer and one on the inner. The color combos are wonderfully wintery, with a particularly autumnal sea urchin and praline available.
