Patou launches Patou Plage
In 2018 Maison Jean Patou was acquired by LVMH to relaunch women’s ready-to-wear at the iconic French couture house under the new identity PATOU. This week under the artistic direction, Guillaume Henry, the brand has launched a capsule beachwear collection named Patou Plage
As the website states…”Here's the perfect outfit for a chic and sunny break "à la Patou"!”
The collection is so perfectly French, it even features the prerequisite jaunty sailor hat ($385)
When Jean Patou founded his fashion house in 1914, he was considered – “the most elegant man in Europe” according to the American press – revolutionized women’s fashion. An aesthete and pioneer, Jean Patou designed simple and chic evening dresses, and introduced casual and sportswear into the woman’s wardrobe. He was also the first designer to mark his garments with an embroidered monogram of his initials.
This collection is a true testament to the legacy of the brand. Here are a few more of our favorite items.
