Mapale 2018 Resort and Swim Collection Goes Beyond the Beach

For the pool or beach, but also beyond the water, the Mapale 2018 Resort and Swim Collection offers stylish options with a Columbian flare. From nautical to bohemian, and everything in between, there is something for everyone in this expansive collection.

You recently read about a few of the stand out swimsuits featured in this group. Here, we spoke with Mapale account executive, Cheryl Paradis, to learn more about which styles she thinks make the best transitional pieces for the season ahead.

Transitional Resort Wear

Easy and comfortable styles are what summer is all about. Think comfy fabrics and breezy cuts. “Some of our pieces can easily be worn at a resort, date night, pool party, boat ride, cruise, office,” says Paradis. Mapale’s navy romper with crochet trim (style 5745) is a great piece to take from day to night. It features a textured fabric and crocheted trim around the legs and midriff. The crop top is attached to the bottom in the back making it an extremely wearable piece for easy-going summer events.

For a look that pairs great with bikini bottoms or denim shorts, Paradis suggests Style 9845, a white cotton top with breezy, crocheted trim work and a v-neckline. “We came up with one-of-a-kind options that can be worn for a night out with a pair of jeans, at the beach with some shorts or at the office under a blazer,” says Paradis of the new tops that are featured in the Mapale 2018 Resort and Swim Collection. “We like to offer multi-purpose ready-to-wear pieces.”

Some summer occasions also call for getting dressed up and Mapale has that covered, as well. Style 4856 is a nude mini dress with a black lace overlay. The dress features cross straps at the back, a black fitted waistband and a black band at the hemline finished with a sheer lace ruffle.

Swimwear You Can Live In

Busy summer afternoons often mean your swimwear has to do double duty. Whether that means running an errand after a day at the pool or a fun paddle boarding adventure before leaving the beach, the Mapale 2018 Resort and Swim Collection offers swimsuits that can do it all. Several of the styles feature crop tops with short or long sleeves that offer more coverage. Style 6910 is a four-piece set that includes a cropped jacket, shorts, bikini top and bottom in a color blocked and palm tree print. “They can be transitional but also useful for people in need of a little bit more coverage based on the activity they are practicing like paddle boarding, jet skiing, snorkeling, surfing,” says Paradis.

The Seafaring group, which Paradis expects to be extremely popular at this month’s Tampa Bay Swim Week, has several options that can double as bodysuits. “Our inspiration comes from everything nautical and yacht-related: rope, navy, stripes, and eyelets,” she says. A red one piece with a low back (Style 6921) and a navy suit with a deep plunge (Style 6923) make women feel sexy, adds Paradis.

Complimentary Cover-ups

Long tanks and flirty, sheer dresses that get slipped over swimwear can also make great street styles. The Mapale 2018 Resort and Swim Collection features items that pair easily with jeans or shorts or can be worn alone for a night on the town. Look for athletic-inspiration (found in Style 7863) and loose fitting tops. Most of the styles come in breathable cotton and linen fabrics, but mesh is also a popular fabrication for cover-ups.

For optimum streetwear, Paradis suggests Style 7865, which is a beach dress that comes in ivory and black. It has a deep v-neckline and hood and is made of sheer stretch cotton.

You can see Mapale at the Tampa Bay Swim Week on June 22nd and @3rd at The Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas in Tampa, FL.
