HOLYDAY, the Greek-born minimal label becoming a swimwear favourite

A new label that took its first dive into the fashion pool mid-2018 has been winning the hearts of fashionistas and swimwear aficionados all around the world.

Founded in Greece by high-school friends Yasmine Hottary and Eugenie Radopoulos, sustainable brand Holyday has been gaining popularity by the day.

Hottary and Radopoulos, both fashion lovers and creatives, came up with the the idea of starting up their own swimwear label, where else but on a white sandy Greek beach.

Since launching their minimalist line, they have been featured in several cutting-edge international publications the likes of Tatler Traveller, Stylist and most recently, following their notable success during the Greek summer, Forbes.

“For us, holidays are actually holy-days and we want our customers to feel beautiful and comfortable,” the duo said.

“Our collections feature modern swim pieces that can be worn to the beach but also as part of an outfit to a dinner on the island… in Greece where summers are known for their distinctive beauty, grace and simplicity. The place where a swimsuit is the single piece of clothing that you need day and night.”

For the two women, Holyday is an attitude and holidays are sacred, which is why they wanted to create a line that exudes happiness, simplicity and comfort but also a brand that embraces the female figure with love.

The idea is to celebrate the feeling of leisure and timelessness by creating two and one piece swimsuits that compliment all body types.

“Holyday pieces are lovingly produced by hand, locally and sustainable, supporting the Greek fashion manufacturers and their skilled artisans,” Hottary and Rodopoulos emphasised explaining that their aim was to “innovatively revisit classic swim essentials”.

“We design for the effortless woman, with a focus on fabric, form and fit. Holyday’s style premise stays true to the look décalé with stand-out beach pieces of uncompromised quality,” they said.”
